Race Series Update-
We are changing from a 10 week race to 8 weeks. This is for a better experience for the riders as well as fitting into the school schedule better. Now, we will take the best 5 of 8 races to score both teams and individuals. This also allows us to keep the pricing the same as our world becomes more expensive everywhere we look.
Continuing for our 11th season of Bike Bum we added a Division and moving up to the top of Rabbit Hole (You will see the KMBC Tent for Start) for a longer and more challenging race experience. Riders who race in this group are Intermediate and Expert bikers and/or have been racing in this series before.
We will still offer the original course, Lower Rabbit Hole, as the B Division for Low Intermediate and beginner riders. The check in tent (more on this lower in the update) will be in the same place as we have been and the finish for both Divisions will be where it has always been located at the bottom of Rabbit Hole.
ALL riders will check in and be chipped at the Top Tent at the START of Upper Rabbit Hole (yes, we will have some chips at the mid tent for riders who forgot or did not read the rules). We are able to run both divisions during the same time block and will be working via Radio communication for the sending of riders.
Rider scores will be based on the Division and Class they are in- the two Divisions are independent of each other and Teams can be mixed Divisions. Still a max of 5 riders per team with the best 3 scores taken per week towards team scores. Top 5 scores will be taken for the rider's individual season scores.
As always this event is for fun and no one will go pro because of Bike Bum. Ride within your ability and never hesitate to ask for more time or any special requests. Please be honest with your ability on sign up and choose the correct class- no sandbagging- If you are unsure of which division to choose, please a race organizer and we will do our best to help guide your decision. This set up is new for everyone including us, so please work with us and Race organizers hold to the right to move riders between divisions.
